What skills can stop robots and AI from threatening employment?
What are the actual risks of the Robocalypse, the worrisome – and sometimes described as catastrophic – scenario in which new technologies erase and replace entire professions, and the millions of jobs that go with them all over the world? What skills and abilities should be enhanced and developed through training, in order to prepare for a less traumatic transition? These crucial and urgent questions have been explored and researched by scholars in a variety of fields. They were discussed also in Cagliari in June 2019, during the First International Conference of the review Scuola Democratica, and in particular at the ANVUR Symposium, “Beyond literacy and numeracy. Advancement in the assessment of adult competencies”.
You can find the presentation Andrea Gavosto, Director of Fondazione Agnelli, gave at the Symposium linked below.
