On May 31st, Fabiola Gianotti – General Director of CERN in Geneva – met Turin students at Teatro Carignano.
Fundamental research in physics aims to understand the structure and evolution of the universe and address other fascinating questions that humanity has asked itself over the centuries. It is also a driver of innovation, and many of the technologies developed in fundamental physics have a disruptive impact on society and everyday life.
Fabiola Gianotti spoke with Turin students to talk about the role of science and physics in our society.
The event was organized by the Agnelli Foundation as part of the International Festival of Economics.
